| 解説 | 再興第十回院展出品作品の習作。人の一生を水の流れにたとえた一大絵巻。その長さは通常の絵巻の四～五倍である。制作にあたり、大観は名墨を三丁用意した。院展開催当日、関東大震災のためそのまま閉会となり、10/30～11/25大阪府商品陳列館にて大阪展を開催、その後12/23～翌年1/6、麹町新見付内法政大学の講堂で東京展を開催する。 |
| Explanation | A spectacular picture scroll portraying the life of a person using the flow of water as a metaphor. The length of this work is four to five times longer than that of an average picture scroll. In drawing this piece, Taikan prepared three sticks of quality Japanese ink. |
