| Explanation | Taikan highly evaluated the talent of Satō Chōzan, the sculptor of this work, and supported him in anyway he could. The box inscription saying, "Master Taikan, gratitude and compassion" implies that Chōzan created and presented this piece to Taikan with deep appreciation. |
